The Frenglish is a collection of English expressions, phrases, words, idioms and a few provrebs with their French equivalent.
The author is a francophone from
the Province of Quebec who has worked over 35 years in a bilingual
environment.
The book is intended for Anglophones and Francophones who want to learn about comparisons and reconciliations of the two languages, while having a bit of fun doing it.
It is important to note
that these expressions, sayings, proverbs and
other word groupings contained in this book should not be considered
as a replacement for dictionaries and other official manuscripts.
They are collected in this book for your information and
entertainment and should certainly not be considered as official
translation.
At the end of the first section
we have listed mirror words that are the same in both languages. You will
be surprised with the size of this list
!
On the reverse side of the book, you will find the same expressions listed by the French expression on the left and the English equivalent on the right and a following section of typical expressions found mostly in Quebec.
The cost for this book is $20 plus PST and delivery.
Note
that no Provincial Sales Tax is applied to books from the Province of Quebec.
Also, the delivery may be done in person, where possible, in the
Ottawa/Gatineau area or by Purolator or Canada Post.
